Locust Treen. [Etymol. uncertain.].
     A large North American tree of the genus Robinia (Robinia Pseudacacia), producing large slender racemes of white, fragrant, papilionaceous flowers, and often cultivated as an ornamental tree. In England it is called acacia.  [1913 Webster]
